The Partner Product You Need to Add Into Your Coaching Business

I really believe anyone with a coaching business should also offer an online course.

You may say, “But, I’m really into making a difference one-on-one for people. Plus, I can charge primo pricing for my exclusive personal attention.”

Right! I totally get that.

I challenge you, though, to think of coaching and a course as partner products rather than competing products.

How to Supplement Coaching Business Income With an Online Course

In fact, offering an online course has many perks, which I’ll touch on in a minute, including the potential to promote and grow your coaching business.

Let me give you an example.

A client of mine opens enrollment twice a year for her parenting course. She sells the 8-week self-paced program for $597. People pour into her community, her subscriber list skyrockets, and she receives a decent profit.

Students are able to work through the modules, connect in community with each other, and ask questions during live sessions.

Shortly thereafter she opens enrollment for her exclusive group coaching program. When she does, she already has the attention of her audience. Many of the women who join the group program were course participants that are seeking a more personalized experience.

In this way, offering an online course in addition to your coaching program, it becomes like an appetizer before the full meal.

So, maybe you were thinking, “Why would people work with me one-on-one or in a small group if they can just walk themselves through a course?”

But, hopefully, you see from my example, they’ll actually work with you as a coach because they took your course.

Especially if you offer a course that is self-paced, always open for enrollment, your audience will seek out your additional expert mentoring.

Not only are coaching and an online course partners in the promotional sense. But, the content is transferable as well.  
Your course will still be your voice, your resources, everything you need your audience to understand. It’s simply delivered in a different format.
