OK I know it's a little ridiculous that my blog has remained empty for all these months. Especially when I write blogs for my clients on a weekly basis. What can I say, when it comes down to working on projects for my clients or working on my own website, the client wins every time.

It's been a great couple of months though since the launch of our little website. The Firefly Writing team has worked on some amazing projects for clients all around the world... as far as Australia and Singapore. We've expanded our team to handle the workload that is still pouring in every day. Lucky for me, the amount of quality writers hitting the freelance life has increased significantly lately, and it's been a pleasure showing them that life in the corporate world was definitely not better.

FireFly Writing is definitely a place where you can freely work in your PJs from the comfort of your own home. There are no distractions, no ridiculous meetings that last all day and no horror stories of life in the corporate world. I know I have plenty... from a boss who used to slap my butt every day to working on a shelf... that's right... a shelf. Anyone out there have a horror story to share? We'd love to hear it! Till next time!

Hi! It's so good to see you finally getting to this part of your site. I know how it can be when you're working hard on other people's projects. Your own projects often get left for last.

I think it's great that you mentioned working in the corporate world and what freedoms come from working at home. For some reason, there are still businesses out there who refuse to see the benefit of allowing employees to work from home. As writers, designers, and other creative folks, it's so much easier for you to really focus on getting the job done well in a quiet home instead of a noisy cube.

As far as bad bosses go... I've had my fill, but as far as the worst experience I've had, I have to say it was when my boss went through my garbage and found the candy bar wrapper I had just eaten. He wanted to know what it was... I guess he was worried that I was going to lose sex appeal if I gained weight. He was a complete pig.

Anyhow, keep up the good work. I know I couldn't do without you and all your fabulous writers at Firefly Writing! Speaking of... I'll have another project for you by Wednesday. Hope you have room in your schedule for me!

Alicia
